Schedule a Business Planning SessionDo I really need an operating agreement for a single-member LLC?
An operating agreement is useful even when you are the only owner. It records how the LLC is managed and may be requested by a bank. Without an agreement addressing an issue, Illinois default rules generally apply. You still need to maintain separate business finances; the agreement does not do that for you.
What is included in the Business Formation Package?
The package includes the Illinois state filing, EIN assistance, an operating agreement, and a federal trademark application for one mark in one class. We discuss your setup before filing and confirm the scope and flat fee. Filing a trademark application does not guarantee registration.
Why is trademark registration part of a business formation package?
An LLC filing creates the entity; it does not provide federal trademark registration or clear your name for use as a brand. Considering the name during formation lets us assess conflicts before you spend more on it. We discuss whether a trademark application fits your business.
Can you help if I already formed the LLC myself?
Yes. Bring your existing formation documents and any agreements between the owners. We can review what is in place and prepare or update the documents you need without forming a new LLC.
Do you draft contractor and client agreements as well?
Yes. We draft client service agreements, contractor agreements, and confidentiality agreements. Contract work can be included in an agreed formation scope or handled separately.
